Happy Birthday Rossie, your second spent in heaven. How wonderful.

Happy Anniversary to you both. I can't imagine 52 years even though this one is different than any other because you both are celebrating in heaven.

Landon's Poster and Slogan

We ultimately (due to cost) opted for a collage of pictures of Landon to be used for his poster. We took some of the best pics and just mixed them up and came out with a very cool poster. His slogan for his new poster is:

Landon Hewell for Vice President
Honest, Fair and Christian Leadership
Logan told us that we really needed to leave off the Christian Leadership, but that is Landon. He is all about God and everyone knows it. Everyday that he has been back in school he has worn a Christian shirt. He said that he feels like it will help spread the word about God. His best friend Connor is running for President. They hope they will be able to serve together, that is why Landon opted to run for Vice President. Keep saying little prayers that if it's meant for these boys to lead the school, it will happen. (Connor's older brother was President a couple of years ago) They will be going to all the 4th and 5th grade homerooms to give a speech. Landon has said that he will tell everyone who he is and that he is honest, fair and most importantly a Christian. He said that he will also tell them that a vote for him is a vote for them. He thinks that SES could be better and he hopes to help make it that way.
I thought that I could put the poster on here, but I couldn't bring up the link. When they come in I will take a picture of it and post it on here. I told James we really could have just put a picture of Landy on a poster board with his slogan, but they both wanted it to be unique.

Landon for Vice President

This is Landon's political debut poster. He is running for Vice President of his student body. This was the poster we were going to use, but we have decided to use a different one with a different slogan. Keep your fingers crossed. They have the election next week.

Ok, I Know You Are Dying For It!

Here is one of the few pictures of James and Moi! I like taking the pictures, so that is why there isn't too many of me to share. I will try to do better since I know all of you love me so much!

Logan With No Smile...:(

I just love this picture of Logan. He has a problem with not smiling though and that irritates me since we have paid over $3500 bucks on his smile. He doesn't like to smile since some little chick in the fourth grade made fun of his teeth. She thought she was a hottie, but in my book she is just a snotty nottie. .

Landon Being Landon

Landon has such a sense of humor. Anytime I can catch him acting goofy I snap a picture. I figure it will make a good slide show one day when he becomes a preacher to share with his congregation.

James and a Beautiful Girl

Fooled you! You all thought this was gonna be me...LOL. This is James and his other beautiful girl, Kailee.

What a Difference a Year Makes

This is Logan and Landon's annual "first day of school" photo. The first picture is from Aug. 2007 with the boys starting 8th grade and 4th grade. The last picture is Aug. 2008 with Logan's first day of High School and Landon's first day of his last year as an elementary school kid. Where does the time go?

Party Time!

Landy finally had his party on Aug. 14th. We took all these chaps to Pizza Buffet and to see Batman (The Dark Knight). Fun times. The kid ended up with over 80 bucks from these kids. They all are great kids and obviously generous too.
For you all that read this and none of these kids belong to you, here is a rundown from left to right....Connor, Landy, Blake, Chandler, Bryson and Bryce

Another Birthday Cake

Landon is finally having his 10th birthday party this coming up Thursday. James has been in charge of the invites, what we were going to do, eat and everything. Landon wanted to take about 5 buddies with him to the movies and out to Pizza Buffet. James got all of that planned and then he told me he needed to order Landon another birthday cake. He had decided to order one from the Sweetery. He forgot to place the order. I couldn't help, so that meant no helpful reminders for him. I told him today that Landon wanted a marble cake (he could get it at Publix) and that it just needed to be simple. He really wouldn't have to order it (not that he has time to put in a specific order) just get them to write Happy Birthday on it and be done with it. Since me and Logan were having our date for sushi with friends, he decided he would take Landon to get his Guitar Hero Aerosmith game and guitar tonight and let him pick out a cake at Publix. The party isn't til Thursday, I gently reminded him. Maybe wait til Wednesday night to pick up a cake. That was met with it will be ok. He isn't taking the cake to Pizza Buffet, it will be eat here Wednesday night with supper. So, technically, the cake was for James. (He is a big lover of cakes...especially ones from the Sweetery) I say, what are the boys going to eat at the party? He says chocolate chip pizza. Nobody will care, it's a bunch of boys. OK. This is his deal. James has never ever planned a party. I guess you can tell that. Anyway, they go and buy the game Landon wanted and went to Fuddrucker's for dinner. It was their male bonding time. James tells him he is going to run him by Publix to pick out his cake. He tells him that we won't take it to the party, just eat it here at home. Landon is fine with that. Must be a male thing. Anyway, they get to Publix and Landon tells him that he likes the marble cakes. Well, they only have one left that is marble. James gets it and gets the lady to write Happy Birthday Landon on it. I come home from my night out with Logan and see the cake on the table. James tells me it's marble, just like what Landon wanted. I didn't pay too much attention to it because Landon was so excited about his new guitar and game and was dying to dual his brother. We watch them dual with the guitars and I come back to take a look at the cake. The cake is pink, yellow and lavender. It is a girl's cake. I said, does Landon know that this cake has pink and other girly colors on it? James says NO! Please don't tell him. He (Landon) couldn't tell that the cake was pink (remember...he is colorblind) and he thinks it's orange and purple. Clemson colors. I really can't believe that James bought that cake and used our son's colorblindness to make it alright. That just shows men should not be in charge of parties and obviously cakes. I hope none of his buddies see the leftovers.

All for Sushi...a Night at Nami's

Logan absolutely loves sushi. He loves it just about as much as Landon loves the Beatles, so that is saying a lot. We recently registered for high school (can you believe that Logan is going to high school) and some of our friends told us how they too loved sushi. Finally, somebody that will gowith us to eat sushi. Debra told me about Nami's and how she and Brandon loved it. We made a date (without any sushi haters...Landon and James) and took our soon to be freshman boys out for some good eats. I had assured James before I went that when you go to eat sushi, it is relatively inexpensive. Well, that's before we went to Nami's. You know, it costs to try new things. I was absolutely stuffed by the time we left. We had Boston Rolls, Philadelphia Rolls and some other one that I can't remember the name to. Plus oysters and some steak and shrimp skewers. Then we ordered tempuri shrimp (that came on the big boat). Less I forget the tuna. Logan didn't really go for the raw tuna. He likes the raw salmon. Then we ended it with a creme brule and an order of ice cream. We spent over 50 bucks. So worth it. Thankfully, we have sushi buddies. The last picture I have posted is of Brandon and Logan after dinner. I will take another of them at the end of the 9th grade to see how much they have grown. Hopefully we will have more dates with our young fellows at Nami's.

Abbey Road Anyone?

Landon is really into the Beatles. When he seen the Abbey Road mural at The Hard Rock, well, we had no choice but to let him and Logan walk across it like Ringo, Paul, John and George did way back in 1969. It is one of our favorite vacation pictures because Landon has this love for them. We have been looking to get him an Abbey Road poster or smaller picture to hang in his room. Not too sure if it will go with all the Boston Red Sox things, but it will make him so happy. In his mind there is nothing like God, The Sox and The Beatles. Now, everyone, start to hum Here Comes the Sun...

Logan and the British Twins

I think they liked Logan better.

They didn't make him cluck like a chicken like they did James. I think their smiles are a little bigger too....Logan enjoyed it. He is his father's son.

James and the British Twins

This is James' fantasy come true....

We Interrupt Vacation Pics to Bring You....

Logan has been going to Youth Bash at our church this week. Here is how he looked when he came home tonight. That in his hair is shaving cream, chocolate syrup and other things I was told I didn't want to know. He loves Youth Bash week though. Landon can't wait til he can go.
