Fractured and When You Are Engulfed in Flames

I recently finished reading David Sedaris' When You are Engulfed in Flames. It was by far my favorite of his books. I am telling you all, even if you don't think that you will enjoy a memoir/essay book, give one a try. He is funny, engaging and just completely entertaining.

I also completed the book Fractured by Karin Slaughter. This was my first book by her and I really enjoyed it. I found it difficult to put down. I will be looking to buy some more of her books. Her books are mystery, crime and thriller all mixed up.

You will probably NEVER find any romance book recommendations on this blog. I hardly ever will read them. I find that a lot of these type of books are so far fetched (I know, I read vampire books so how can I say that!) I just can't get into them. I guess is that I know that romance is real. Bridges of Madison County is one book I just despise. I find it too unrealistic in that someone would give up their life for someone they just met.
